Spearhead the Strategy Management & Corporate Governance department by leading the corporate strategy & business plan development, corporate performance reporting & strategy execution management, digital transformation, new growth opportunities identification, enterprise risk management, quality assurance and corporate governance functions.
  • Strategy Planning

    • Leads the development of stc Bahrain corporate strategy and ensures alignment with the corporate vision and the group corporate strategy. Performs a thorough assessment of the local, regional and global trends and benchmarking exercise to feed into the corporate strategy.

    • Identifies new growth avenues / opportunities for stc Bahrain including opportunity scan, business case development, market sizing, initial value proposition development, operating model, etc.

    • Develops the end-to-end 5-year business plan with granular details on market related KPIs, complete P&L, cash-flow and balance sheet statements.

    • Define the CXO KPIs deriving from the Corporate Strategy & Business Plan as well as the Director & Manager KPIs/Initiatives to be cascaded.

  • Strategy Management & Execution

    • Own and manage corporate performance reporting, including development of all internal/external performance reports and definitions of KPIs included in management reporting.

    • Monitor and facilitate the execution of the Corporate Strategy; ensure that key milestones are met and that implementation plans are on schedule; assist in identifying obstacles and enablers and collaborate with relevant chiefs/directors.

    • Prepare agenda and material for Quarterly Board, Audit Committee and ExCom meetings

  • Digital Transformation

    • Oversee and lead the implementation of stc Bahrain digital transformation agenda by developing comprehensive plans, tracking progress, resolving roadblocks and providing regular updates to CSGO.

    • Define the digital blueprint and target state for stc BH and ensure all activities are geared towards achieving the defined goals.

  • Quality, Risk & Corporate Governance

    • Manage the Quality Assurance function to develop the QA approach, policies, processes, and programs; develop a robust quality platform and standards with the view of delivering superior business results.

 

    • Manage the Planning and execution of Quality Assurance reviews for critical functions within stc Bahrain to ensure conformity to the approved policies and processes, and to identify gaps and areas for improvement

    • Manage the Enterprise Risk Management function and maintain an integrated risk management framework across the organization based on best practices

    • Manage the end-to-end business continuity program of stc Bahrain, by developing business continuity plans, testing the plans, conducting disaster recovery drills and crisis simulation exercises

    • Lead all interactions with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce & Tourism by filing all required documents in a timely fashion, developing the corporate governance report and coordinating the AGM/EGM meetings

    • Manage the holistic governance framework including charters for BOD and relevant committees, authority matrix, delegation of authorities and oversee compliance with the framework.

MBA or equivalent Masters degree from an international/globally reputed university

Min 12 yrs of multifunctional experience. The incumbent should have spent more than 5 yrs at Sr Manager Level managing cross functional teams in the Telecom industry. Experience in the telecommunications practice of a top-tier strategy or management consulting firm would be a significant plus point
